The New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) is sharing a new Infection Prevention and Control Self-Assessment Tool for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to support EMS agencies in evaluating and strengthening their infection prevention and control practices.

This new resource is a self-assessment to provide a structured review of key infection prevention and control practices and can help EMS agencies identify gaps, guide quality improvement activities, and support action planning. EMS agencies are encouraged to use the tool to review current practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop appropriate agency action plans.

EMS agencies seeking additional information or consultation regarding their infection prevention and control practices may contact the NJDOH ICAR Unit at CDS.ICAR@doh.nj.gov or 609-826-5964.
