Nara
Organics has recalled all lots of its Whole Milk Infant Formula due to a
potential risk of Clostridium botulinum contamination. The recall follows an
ongoing public health investigation into cases of infant botulism potentially
linked to the product. Most infants with infant botulism initially develop
constipation, poor feeding, loss of head control, and difficulty swallowing,
which can progress to difficulty breathing and respiratory arrest. Symptoms of
infant botulism, which is diagnosed clinically, may take several weeks to
develop following formula ingestion. The Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) has reported three cases of infant botulism in infants who
consumed Nara Organics Whole Milk Infant Formula, and the investigation remains
ongoing.
Target
Corporation received the recalled product from Nara Organics and has provided a
distribution list of retail locations that received the affected formula.
Attached is a spreadsheet identifying Target locations within New Jersey that
reportedly received the recalled product. If your department is planning a

requesting that you assist with recall verification by either:
1.
