Lead dust can be brought into the home from the workplace and can be harmful to household members who come in contact with it. Lead dust can be on clothes, shoes, hair, skin, and personal items where it can leave a trail and transfer to vehicles, carpets, floors, and furniture.

Please circulate the newly released fact sheet from the NJDOH Consumer, Environmental, and Occupational Health Service, available in [English] and [Spanish], regarding the prevention of take-home lead. The fact sheets can also be found on our NJDOH Occupational Health Surveillance website: bit.ly/NJDOHEnvOccHeavyMetals
