New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) has added a Monkeypox Communicable Disease Manual Chapter to the Monkeypox webpage (https://www.nj.gov/health/cd/topics/monkeypox.shtml) under "Disease Reporting."
Local health departments should refer to this chapter when performing investigations of suspect, probable, and confirmed cases of monkeypox to ensure that proper public health follow up occurs. The current monkeypox outbreak is rapidly evolving; as the situation develops, NJDOH will update the Disease Manual Chapter as needed.
