Please find attached the NJDOH vector-borne surveillance report for week 24.
Report highlights:
• Statewide mosquito surveillance began on May 20th. West Nile Virus (WNV) was detected in one mosquito pool in Burlington County (week 22).
• Jamestown Canyon Virus was detected in one mosquito pool in Bergen County (week 22).
• There have been no WNV or EEE positive cases detected in humans or animals this season.
• Tick-related ED visits in 2022 are below seasonal trends observed in the past 5 years but are above 2021 levels.
