Third Annual New Jersey Antimicrobial Stewardship Recognition Program Virtual Event Announcement
Background:
The Communicable Disease Service of the New Jersey Department of Health is pleased to announce New Jersey's Third annual Antimicrobial Stewardship Recognition Program (ASRP) Virtual Award Event! The 2021 ASRP invited healthcare facilities across the state to submit materials that document the breadth and depth of their antimicrobial stewardship efforts over the past year to commend and reward their accomplishments, develop/enhance collaborative relationships, and identify best practices based upon the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Seven Core Elements for Antimicrobial Stewardship.
Please join the Communicable Disease Service and the New Jersey Hospital Association in celebrating your success, and that of your peers, at the 2021 NJ Antimicrobial Stewardship Recognition Program virtual award ceremony on December 9, 2020 from 9:30am to 11:30pm EST. We look forward to a keynote address from Dr. Lauri Hicks, Director for the Office of Antibiotic Stewardship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention about antimicrobial stewardship during pandemic situations, and to hear from three New Jersey facilities about their challenges and successes in their stewardship efforts. The virtual ceremony will provide ONE continuing education credit/unit for physicians (MSNJ) and nurses (HRET)
